Back in 2018, my hard drive crashed. I mean, it crashed bad. Super bad. Super duper bad. . . . And I dumbly had been lazy about backing up my computer. Super duper lazy. Consequently, I lost a ton of photos from that year.

But as I searched through the wreckage of this digital catastrophe, I did find I had managed to save a few things. And one of those things was this photo, taken exactly three years ago today:

And that made me happy. Super duper happy. Because this was maybe my favorite photo of 2018. Because I never want to forget the time I almost got beat up by a gangster gaggle of angry geese in an otherwise peaceful Petaluma public park. 

And every time I look at the photo, it makes me think that I better . . .

. . . BACK UP.  ?

(And, OK, maybe the geese weren’t really acting angry or threatening. But they were looking at me funny!)
